Glavije Amirjamshidi graduated with a Masters degree in Architecture from Azad University of Tehran, Iran in 2005. After the devastating earthquake of 2003 in the citadel of Bam (Arg-e-Bam), part of the world heritage site of Bam and its cultural landscape, in Kerman province, south-east of Iran, she started working as a team leader architect and conservation team member. In 2010 she graduated with an MSc (with merit) in Conservation of Historic Buildings at the University of Bath and was awarded a scholarship to study towards a PhD on holistic approaches to conservation of earthen buildings in earthquake prone areas.
